Royal Enfield Godzilla Custom Bobber Based On Thunderbird 500 From Neev Motorcycles

Royal Enfiled models are the preferred choice for modified and custom bikes in the country. The latest one that has surfaced in the custom bikes market is the Royal Enfiled Godzilla built by Delhi-based Neev Motorcycles.

The Godzilla is based on the now discontinued Royal Enfiled Thunderbird 500. However, there are very few traces of the original motorcycle on the new custom bobber. The frame body panels and all other mechanicals have been either custom made or borrowed from other two-wheelers.

Starting with the front fascia of the Godzilla, it features a headlamp that seems to be borrowed from the Bajaj Pulsar NS200. It also features a small windscreen that also houses the front number plate.

The front fender has been chopped to house the large tyre profile at the front shod by custom made alloy wheel with spoke design. The suspension unit at the front features a sharper rake angle and custom-made gators.

A straight and wide handlebar has been used on the bobber along with a twin-pod analogue instrument cluster set up for fuel gauge and speedometer. A bar-end mirror on the motorcycle would have added to the looks and functionality.

Moving back to the Godzilla, it features a radical-looking fuel tank with a dual-tone paint scheme. The 15-litre fuel tank bears the Godzilla name tag and when viewed from the top, it contours from the middle on either side creating a hump-back design.

This is followed up with the low-slung single seat for the rider, which is heavily curved to meet the rear fender's design creating a seamless look from front to the back of the motorcycle.

Coming to the rear fender, it has been chopped to create a tail-tidy design with sharp contours. The LED strips on either side of the rear fender serve as taillamps, which according to Neev Motorcycle gives it an Eagle-eye design.

Other mechanical changes made on the motorcycle include an extended swingarm and a large rear wheel. To top it off, the motorcycle features a short exhaust setup, side-mounted rear number plate and forward-set footpegs.

The Godzilla is powered by the 499cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine from the Thunderbird 500. In its stock setup, the engine produced 27.1bhp at 5250rpm and 41.3Nm of peak torque at 4000rpm; mated to a five-speed gearbox. However, the Godzilla has been given a performance mod using an air filter to increase the power output of the motorcycle.

Thoughts About The Royal Enfield Godzilla Custom Bobber Based On Thunderbird 500 From Neev Motorcycles

The Royal Enfiled Godzilla custom bobber motorcycle certainly looks apart. It carries a unique design theme and is followed by every element of the motorcycle. The subtle looks of the Thunderbird have now taken over by the aggressive fictional Japanese monster.
