MotoGP TT Assen 2023 - Pecco, Bezzecchi, And Espargaro On The Podium; Marquez Deemed Unfit To Race
Motogp TT Assen concluded with Francesco Bagnaia, racing for Ducati Factory Team, winning the Dutch GP, with Marco Bezzecchi of Mooney VR46 and Aleix Espargaro of Aprilia Racing completing the remaining steps of the podium.
Redbull KTM's rider, Brad Binder, crossed the line in third place, but was met with a penalty as he went off-track and was demoted to fourth position. He made another error in the sprint race, which got him the same result - he finished in third but was dropped to fourth.

Marco Bezzecchi was in good contention for the win as he won the sprint race and set a record for the fastest time held at the TT Assen. He came up to second place with 10 laps to go, but couldn't find a way around Pecco to take the lead.
Marc Marquez had to sit out of the Dutch GP as he was deemed unfit due to a rib fracture. Marquez has had a spell of bad luck, unable to finish even a single race on any Sunday of the race clalendar. He also crashed twice before the race on Sunday, once meeting the back of Bastianini's Ducati, and the other, low-siding around a corner.
"This morning I went to the medical centre to let them know that I wasn't in a fit state to ride", said Marquez following Saturday's Sprint race. He also mentioned that the pain he is enduring is getting worse as the days go by.

Thoughts On MotoGP TT Assen 2023
The MotoGP TT Assen was the final race before the summer break for MotoGP. It was quite entertaining, with action taking place right from the first lap of the race. Francesco Bagnaia is continuing his dominance with Ducati, outdoing the rest of his competitors. The new team, Mooney VR46 Racing, is putting up a good battle with all the experienced contenders, having a few glimpses of being right at the top.
Marc Marquez, on the other hand, is having a season he hopes to forget. He has barely had any success, and the TT Assen did not make it any better for him, dealing with two crashes and unable to compete in the main event. Is it Repsol Honda who is to blame or is it their riders?
