Millionaire Performs Pooja For His Brand New McLaren 720S - Video Goes Viral
The number of supercars in India has grown tremendously in the last few years. Lamborghinis to Ferraris, Maseratis to McLarens, these high-performance machines are becoming more common on the Indian roads.
Like every Indian, these supercar owners have embraced their imported exotic cars with a touch of Indian tradition. Now, if you're thinking about the lemon, it doesn't stop there. People do proper prayers and offer rituals.
Even though it sounds superstitious, it is a beautiful sight to see how much people care about their cars and value their culture. Recently, a video of a wealthy businessman from Mumbai went viral for giving his brand new McLaren 720S the customary welcome.
Following the footsteps of many new car buyers in India, the wealthy businessman took his McLaren 720S to a nearby temple and offered prayers. He also made the car undergo an elaborative ritual believed to keep the car safe.
Vahan Pooja, a ritual done to ensure the longevity of vehicles, is pretty common in India. This tradition can be observed on various occasions across the country. Even celebrities like Karan Johar and Kartik Aryan taking part in similar ceremonies have gone viral on the internet in the past.
Talking about the car, the McLaren 720S is a limited edition supercar, with only 400 units produced. It houses a strong 4.0-litre V8 twin-turbo petrol engine that can generate an incredible 710bhp of power and 770Nm of torque.
This supercar offers outstanding performance on the track and features active aerodynamics that enhances downforce at higher speeds. The McLaren 720S can go from 0 to 100km/h in just 2.8 seconds and reach a top speed of 341km/h.
Mclaren offers the 720S in three distinct variants: standard, luxury, and performance. The top-end variant is manufactured with carbon fibre components in the hood air-intakes, wing mirrors, and rear air-intakes.
The Interior of the supercar basks in luxury. The interiors are draped in Alcantara and Nappa leather. In addition, contrasting colours like Zircon silver and brushed iridium brightwork further enhance the strong road presence of the car.
Thoughts On The Incident
Vahan Pooja is a cherished tradition in India that shows the bond between the owners and their vehicles. They believe that through these auspicious rituals, they get blessings for the vehicles' safety, longevity, and smooth functioning.
The McLaren brand is becoming increasingly popular in the Indian market. In 2018, Adar Poonawalla became the first person to register a McLaren 720S in India. The Ambani family also joined the ranks of McLaren owners.
