Lexus RX350h Deliveries Commence In India – Automaker Claims Positive Response
Lexus India recently launched the 2023 RX SUV in two variants - RX350h and RX500h F-Sport. Now, the luxury carmaker has commenced the deliveries of the 2023 Lexus RX350h SUV in the country.
According to Lexus India, the 2023 Lexus RX350h SUV has received a very positive response from the Indian market. This is very welcoming considering that premium car buyers have started to opt for hybrid vehicles despite the abundance of powerful petrol and diesel options in the segment.
That being said, the new 2023 Lexus RX350h is no slouch. Powering the Lexus RX350h is a 2.5-litre Atkinson cycle, 4-cylinder petrol engine and a single electric motor. Together, this powertrain produces 245bhp and 242Nm of peak torque.
It is also worth mentioning that the Lexus RX350h is an all-wheel-drive SUV and the power is sent to all four wheels via a CVT gearbox. Moreover, despite the use of a CVT gearbox, the performance of the Lexus RX350h SUV is brisk.
According to Lexus, the RX350h SUV can reach 100km/h from a standstill in 7.9 seconds and the top speed of the model is restricted to 200km/h. Such performance figures make the Lexus RX350h a very capable mile muncher with plenty of performance on reserve for Indian roads.
Compared to the previous generation, the 2023 Lexus RX SUV is 25 wider and sports a 60mm longer wheelbase. This translates into a much roomier cabin experience with plenty of additional legroom and shoulder room.
In India, the Lexus RX SUV competes against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz GLE, BMW X5, Audi Q7, Jaguar F-Pace, Range Rover Velar, Volvo XC90 and Jeep Grand Cherokee. At the time of the launch, the Lexus RX350h was priced at Rs 95.80 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
